Red Flag Identity Theft Prevention

Loyola University New Orleans (“university”) has developed an Identity Theft Prevention Program pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission’s Red Flag Rules which implement Section 114 of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003.

Policy

Loyola University New Orleans regards any threat of identity theft as an immediate and highly important matter and will enforce the following to mitigate any threats.

Student Mailing Guidelines

Resident students on the main campus are served by the Loyola University Post Office located in the Danna Center. Stamps are available for purchase and students are able to send packages and mail off from this location. Resident students on the Broadway Campus have mailboxes located in the Broadway Activities Center.

Campus Mailing Guidelines

The Danna Center Post Office is a contract station to the United States Postal Service and, therefore, follows the shipping guidelines of the USPS. Domestic packages cannot weigh more than 70 lbs. or measure more than 108 inches in length and girth combined. Larger packages can result in a surcharge or may not be accepted at all by the USPS. The customer’s parcel must already be packaged and addressed when brought to the Danna Center Post Office. We provide Flat-Rate Priority Mail envelopes and boxes, as well as Flat-Rate Express Mail envelopes and boxes.
